Tsuyama Ping Pong Platz

A new permanent public space - conceived for the Forest Festival of the Arts Okayama - open to everybody and aimed at the collectivity created transforming an empty lot, abandoned since many years, into a common place.
A space for all, where gather, play, socialize and share the free time outdoor together.

A way to celebrate the mid-long term relationship with the City of Tsuyama and its inhabitants, started already in 2022 with the invitation by the Forest Festival of the Art Committee for spending a month of research on site and continued in 2023 thanks to the project People Art and Territory conceived together with Silvia Piantini and coordinated by Port Art and Design Tsuyama.

The tables and the benches were realized by local companies using local materials.

Tsuyama Ping Pong Platz represents my first permanent project in Japan.
